Filmmaker O.P. Rahlan who has given the industry films like Phool Aur Patthar, Talash, Hulchul, and Paapi, is also the man behind the success of many yesteryear stars. The director has boosted careers of superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Zeenat Aman among others. Today (April 20) marks his 20th death anniversary and as daughter Rupalli Ralhan fondly remembers her father, she also reveals about wanting to fulfill his dream and complete the film that was left unfinished due to his untimely demise.
Now daughter Rupalli Ralhan and grandson Armaan Ralhan are working hard to make his dream come true. Rupalli fondly remembers her father from the days he was doing his research for the Ashoka film in Ashoka House in Cuff Parade for more than a decade. We wish them all the luck to make the late filmmaker’s dream come true.
OP, as the industry fondly addressed the filmmaker, also gave breaks to Zeenat Aman and Kabir Bedi. In his last days, he was working on his dream project, Ashoka the Great. Unfortunately, his ambitious project was left midway, when the filmmaker passed away on April 20, 1999.
