Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain become officially Mr & Mrs Jain

After two days of festivities, Ankita Lokhande took the wedding vows with her fiancée Vicky Jain yesterday on December 14. A red carpet event that was supposed to take place at Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain’s wedding, however, was called off due to the Covid-19 situation in Mumbai. Ankita’s representative said in a statement that Ankita and Vicky’s wedding ceremony was now an intimate gathering attended by close family and a handful of friends only. Ankita’s pre-wedding ceremonies began on Saturday with a fun mehendi ceremony which was followed by an engagement, sangeet and haldi ceremony.

Several pictures and videos of Ankita and Vicky having a gala time at their lavish ceremonies have been shared online by their friends on social media.  Ankita’s colleagues like Amruta Khanvilkar, Mahhi Vij and several others gave a sneak peek of the fun moments from the celebration. On Monday, Kangana Ranaut, who shared the screen with Ankita in the 2019 film Manikarnika, attended her cocktail party and posted pictures on Instagram.

The celebrated love jodi Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony yesterday on Tuesday and the nuptials were followed by a reception. Ankita announced her marriage on Instagram by sharing several stunning pictures from the wedding. She wrote, “Love is patient but we’re not. Surprise! We’re now officially Mr and Mrs Jain!”

Ankita decked up in a golden Manish Malhotra lehenga and walked down the aisle with a long veil. Her beau Vicky complemented her in a pristine white and golden sherwani. The pictures show the couple’s intimate moments as they take pheras in a temple-like mandap.  At the wedding reception, Ankita Lokhande-Vicky Jain’s were seen holding each other’s hands all the time. For the post wedding reception, Ankita changed to a red sari, styled with heavy jewellery while Vicky opted for a black sherwani. The bride and groom mingled with the guests at the do.

It was a star-studded affair with several of Ankita’s colleagues and friends from the television industry in attendance. Like Mrunal Thakur, Shraddha Arya, Arti Singh, Srishty Rode, Asha Negi, Eijaz Khan and Pavitra Punia attended the wedding that took place at Hotel Grand Hyatt, Mumbai.

In the evening, Vicky had arrived at the venue with band baaja baaraat. He was in a vintage car as the baraat moved along. The men wore floral blue turbans as part of the groom’s brigade. The wedding festivities began on Saturday and continued with an official mehendi ceremony, haldi, cocktail and sangeet. Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain have been together for more than three years.

Eijaz Khan and Pavitra Punia were the ‘ladkewale’ at the Ankita Lokhande- Vicky Jain’s wedding, which was also attended by Mrunal Thakur, Shraddha Arya etc. On Monday, Ankita’s Manikarnika co-star Kangana Ranaut also joined her at the sangeet. She was in a purple lehenga. The actor also mentioned about Ankita’s ‘planet-sized ring’.

Earlier, Ankita had also given a glimpse of her pre-wedding shoot. Titled The Sands of Time, the video has been shot by The Wedding Story. Even her wedding invite caught everyone’s attention. The blue wedding card in silver embossed writings, decorated with crystals looked as royal as ever. Ankita and Vicky have been dating each other for quite a while now. Earlier this month, the couple had fuelled wedding rumours by sharing beautiful photos from a pre-wedding ceremony that they hosted at their house. The star studded event was also attended by close family members and friends.
