Sandip Ssingh give explanation to Javed Akhtar about credits in PM MODI biopic

Vivek Oberoi starrer ‘PM Narendra Modi’ has been surrounded by too many controversies since the release of its trailer. While the makers are trying their best to make sure that the film sees the light of the day, producer Sandip Ssingh is also putting efforts to disperse the dark clouds around his film. He has finally replied to Javed Akhtar after it was pointed out that Akhtar’s name has been credited as the lyricist without the knowledge of the veteran songwriter. Read the details below.

Javed Akhtar has been credited as the lyricist in the posters and trailer of the film PM Narendra Modi. Akhtar has denied any association with the film. He not only pointed this out but he also asked the makers for an explanation. After a few days since the controversy broke,  producer Sandip Ssing finally took to Twitter to clear the air around the lyricist credit. Sandip wrote, “We have taken the songs ‘Ishwar Allah’ from the film ‘1947:Earth’ and the song ‘Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walon’ from the film ‘Dus’ in our film, thus we have given the due credits to respective lyricists Javed Sahab and Sameer Ji. @TSeries is our Music partner. @ModiTheFilm2019.” As it turns out, some fans guessed it right that the film has used some old songs from the library.  The producer also tried to address the audience in general by saying, “I don’t belong to any particular party. I am just a filmmaker making a film, hoping that it inspires the audience.”

Meanwhile, the opposition party has approached the Election Commission to halt the release of the film as they think that the content, idea and the timing of the film is to influence voters ahead of the elections. The film is slated to release on April 5 and the general elections will commence on April 11, a week after the release. Let’s see if the biopic releases next Friday or will it be delayed due to the elections.
