Pooja Hegde in police custody? Here’s what really happened!

Actress Pooja Hegde, who was last seen in Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjodaro, was in the news recently for the wrong reasons. Going by reports, the makers of the Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi along with Pooja organised a pre-release event for their movie on May 1 in Hyderabad and things did not end well post the party. It was rumoured that Pooja landed up in police custody for what happened after the party.

It was informed that the team along with Pooja went for an after-party in a hotel where the actress and others got way too drunk. Later, all of them went for a drive during which Pooja’s manager, who was driving, was caught by the police.  The manager was behind the wheels. They even seized his documents and the car and it was speculated that Pooja, who was in the car too, also got into trouble.

However, the actress shunned the rumours and clarified that she was not in the car and had flown out to Mumbai before the incident occurred. She even produced her airline tickets to prove that she was speaking the truth. Her representatives confirmed the same saying that the incident didn’t occur the way it was reported in the media.

As for the film Maharshi, it is directed by Vamsi Padipally and stars Pooja Hegde, Mahesh Babu and Allari Naresh in the lead roles. It is produced by PVP Cinema banners. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more such updates from the world of Tollywood.
