Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been making all the efforts to bring the nation back on its foot amid the Covid crisis. The global icon shared Sonu Sood’s appeal to all the governments on her Instagram handle. Lending her support to Sonu’s requests for making education free for the children who lost their parents to Corona, Priyanka penned down an impassioned caption.

Praising the actor for coming up with a solution, Priyanka wrote, “Sonu’s suggestion is to both the state and central governments to ensure free education for all children affected by Covid. The aim is not to allow a pause and definitely not for the lack of finance. If ignored, a huge number of children would be left without the opportunity as adults”

The global humanitarian also urged people to come forward to help these kids and pledged to pitch in her contribution for the same. The power icon’s post promoted Union Leader Smriti Irani to respond. Taking to the comment section, the minister shared the Child Helpline Number to protect kids who lost their parents to Covid.

“Kindly call 1098 – Childline in case you or any organisation finds a child who is orphaned. Every state government and district authority is on alert to help provide support to children in need and distress. Every district has been directed to ensure that Child Welfare Committees in the district prioritise such children.” Smriti wrote.

Earlier, the leading actress had urged the global community to donate to the fundraiser she had set up with GiveIndia to help the nation win the battle against Coronavirus. Just in a few days, Priyanka has successfully raised more than Rs. 4.9 crores.
