Salman Khan Pulwama Attack

Salman Khan’s upcoming production Notebook is a love story set in the backdrop of Kashmir. And while the film release is round the corner, Salman has been promoting the film in full swing. Last night, the actor interacted with the media and spoke about the film at length. From Notebook being offered to him initially, to his mother being his biggest teacher, Salman made sure to be as candid as he could. During the conversation, superstar Salman also happened to speak about the Pulwama attack.

When Salman was asked if education was important for children, especially for the ones who ended up carrying such attacks, the actor said, “When we heard about it (the Pulwama attack), it killed us. Notebook’s backdrop is exactly the same. Everyone gets education, but getting the right kind of education is more important. The guy who did this got education, but may be his educators were wrong.” For those who don’t know, the Pulwama attack in Kashmir in February led to 40 CRPF jawans losing their lives and this led to tension rising between India and Pakistan.

As for Notebook, the film stars Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl and is directed by Nitin Kakkar. It is the story of how a former army officer takes up the job of a teacher, and falls in love with a former teacher without even meeting her in person. The film releases on March 29. Talking about Notebook Salman said, “When Notebook came to me, I knew it was a great film. It had come to me for myself, but my image has changed a little, so I couldn’t do it. But it’s not like, if I am not doing a film, I give it to them (newcomers).” Let us know, how excited are you to watch Notebook? Comment in the section below.
