Mental Hai Kya has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. It came under the scanner of Indian Psychiatric Society and the team landed into trouble for its title. According to the IPS, the title comes under: ‘discriminative, stigmatizing, degrading and inhuman in projecting mental disorders and persons.’ The audience was waiting to know what will happen to the movie. Well, inside news is that the makers have finally made a decision regarding the film’s title and whether to change it or not.
A source close to the development exclusively told Team CineBlitz that the makers of the film have decided not to make any changes to the title of the film i.e. Mental Hai Kya. Earlier, they had also said that the film is based on fictional characters and does not intend to offend or discriminate against anyone. Now we will have to see how this decision is received by the IPS and the public in general.
About the film, it stars Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles. It’s their second film together after Queen. Backed by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures, the film is all set to release on June 21. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more such updates from the world of Bollywood.
