Shraddha Kapoor joins the league of legendary actresses to play the role of Nagin

Talent powerhouse, Shraddha Kapoor has undoubtedly given some memorable characters to the audiences in the past years. Her versatile roles across various genres have hit the right chord with the audience. Now, the actress is all set to don the nagin avtar for a trilogy titled ‘Nagin’. In the past Nagin avtar was played by legendary actresses, and now Shraddha has join the wagon.

The connection of Nagin and Bollywood started back in 1954, with the iconic Vaijantimala as Nagin. Filling  her shoes was sensational Rekha, who slipped in to the serpent skin with Nagin and Sheshnaag in 1976 and 1990 respectively.

At a smiliar time, actress Reena Roy also donned the Nagin avtar with the film ‘Nagin’ in 1976. Legendary actress Sridevi, whose name is synonymous to the Nagin has played the role twice with Nagina and Nigahin.

Joining their league is the total performer Shraddha and she sure has  pretty big shoes to fill. The previous actresses had become a household name, with their Nagin characters, and Shraddha who is people’s favourite and has achieved a lot – it will be interesting to see her on the silver screen as Nagin and it’ll be a delight for sure.

After the iconic Sridevi and Rekha, who played the role in 1989-1990, the audience is very excited to witness the magic of Shraddha’s mesmerizing beauty as Nagin on the big screen.

The trilogy ‘Nagin’ will be helmed by Vishal Furia, and bankrolled by Nikhil Dwivedi. Apart from this, Shraddha will also be seen with Ranbir Kapoor, for a romantic film.
