The way Sonali Bendre has dealt with cancer diagnoses, the actress has indeed inspired a lot of people with her undying spirit. After announcing on social media about her illness, Sonali headed to the US for her treatment. She returned to Mumbai recently and now she has even resumed working. Yes, the Sarfarosh heroine has joined hands with the maverick director Shoojit Sircar for a new project but it’s not a full-fledged feature film. The two recently shot for a AD film and the Piku director gave a sneak-peek of the same on his Instagram account.
Sharing a candid picture on his Insta feed, Shoojit wrote, “A moment during the shoot of a short film.. @iamsonalibendre You are brave and absolutely charming.. Keep it up.. I felt humbled and privileged to be there.” In the picture, Sonali seems to be discussing something with her director. And at the same time, she has a warm smile on her face which is very heartening to see. Guess she had super fun working with Shoojit Sircar. Also, we totally agree with his caption. The 44-year-old is indeed a brave soul that everyone looks up to.
The short AD film, which we hear is about Dengue, will mark Sonali’s return to the screen after her tedious long battle with cancer. The pretty actress, who underwent medical treatment for the same in New York for over 6 months, was surrounded by her family and close friends throughout her difficult journey.
