In a heartwarming display of compassion, actor-philanthropist Sonu Sood once again proved his unyielding commitment to helping those in need. Khilanand Jha, a 65-year-old man from Bihar, recently travelled all the way to Mumbai only to meet Sood, whom he fondly refers to as ‘Gareebo Ka Masiha’ or the Messiah of the Poor. Jha’s story, riddled with struggles and financial burdens, touched Sood’s heart, prompting him to lend him a helping hand.

For the unversed, Khilanand Jha’s wife, Minoti Paswan, passed away earlier this year after a paralytic stroke, leaving him with a debt of Rs 12 lakh for her medical expenses. With creditors demanding the clearance of payment, he sought Sood’s assistance after hearing about his efforts to help the less fortunate during the COVID-19 pandemic. Filled with optimism, Jha, accompanied by his son, recently met Sonu Sood at his office. The actor, known for his philanthropic work, empathized with the elderly man’s situation and readily agreed to offer him support.

The meeting between Sonu Sood and Khilanand Jha is a testament to the former’s relentless efforts to support the financially disadvantaged across the country. Additionally, Sood’s helping hand reminds us of the positive influence an individual can have on the lives of others, transforming stories of struggle into tales of hope and triumph.
