Sooryavanshi: After Gulshan Grover, here’s who has joined the team of Akshay Kumar’s film

The ensemble of Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Sooryavanshi looks exciting with Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Gulshan Grover playing important roles. The team has even started shooting for the film in Thailand and we saw Akshay stunning fans with his daredevil bike stunt on the Bangkok streets. Gulshan Grover playing a baddie in the film was revealed today (June 6), now, another actor has also joined the team in Thailand.

Well, we just told you a few hours ago that Anupam Kher is not a part of the film, and had just dropped in to meet the cast, well, it turns out that someone from his family is surely a part of the film. And it is none other than his son, Sikandar Kher.

The Rome Akbar Walter actor is currently in Thailand shooting action scenes with Akshay Kumar and the team of Sooryavanshi. Confirming the news Sikandar said, “I am not at liberty to reveal anything about my role except that it’s a fun character. Right now, I am just enjoying this schedule with my co-stars and Rohit. This is a big project for me and I value the fact that I was considered for it. Sooryavanshi and RAW are very different from each other. I’m just thankful that such distinct opportunities have come my way. For a guy trying to find his feet again, these chances are invaluable. After working with John, I’m now getting a chance to collaborate with Akki paaji, who is a fantastic co-actor.”

Sikandar suffered a knee surgery last year in November. He then adopted a process of recovery usually meant for sportspersons, to ensure that he’s physically fit to work on this Rohit Shetty film. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more such news and updates.
