SOTY 2 trailer launch: Tara Sutaria sings Lag Ja Gale and leaves everyone mesmerised!

The most anticipated youth film, Student Of The Year 2 (SOTY2) finally released its trailer today. Debutantes Tara Sutaria, Ananya Panday and the country’s heartthrob Tiger Shroff looked stunning at the occasion. Along with them director Puneet Malhotra and producer Karan Johar from Dharma Productions were also present at the event. While the cast and crew were slowly starting to share their character names with their individual posters yesterday, it all added up to the build-up for today. The Batch of 2019 (SOTY 2) have big shoes to fill after Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan made their debut with Student of the Year (2012).

At the trailer launch, while all eyes were on the trio, Karan reminisced about seeing Ananya play with Suhana Khan at Mannant.  In the midst of all of this, there was one thing that caught our attention and left us in awe was Tara Sutaria taking the mike and singing for the audience. Karan prompted Tara to sing a few lines and give back the love they have received and Tara surely didn’t disappoint. She sang Lag Ja Gale which is one of her’s and Karan’s favourite song.

For those who may not know Tara is a professional singer and danver. In fact, she has been singing since she was 6-years-old. There is a video online that shows a young Tara auditioning in 2009 on a reality singing show, in the video she sung some opera which is considered one of the toughest pieces of music to sing.  That surely gave us goosebumps. Everyone needs to watch out for this super talented young girl and wish her all the best with her first Bollywood movie.
