While the 2019 elections have begun, voting for two out of seven phases have been conducted. This election there are many Bollywood biggies contesting and it seems Sunny Deol is the new name on the block. Speculations of him joining the BJP (Bhartiya Janata Party) have been doing rounds on internet, today we saw the actor meeting the party president Amit Shah at the Pune Airport.
The Gadar: Ek Prem Katha actor Sunny who is gearing up for his next Blank alongside debutant Karan Kapadia is speculated to join BJP with a seat from Amritsar. Recently, he was spotted at the Pune airport lounge with the party president Amit Shah, which hints at the actor entering politics soon. According to reports, the meeting lasted for a few minutes. If all goes well, Sunny will be contesting from the same seat that Navjot Singh Siddhu contested and won two elections from in 2004 and 2009.
Sunny’s father Dharmendra has also been in politics in the past, rallying for wife and BJP leader Hema Malini (who is contesting this election from Mathura). This year, the Lok Sabha elections have been quite interesting and we saw many kick start their political innings. It will be great to see how things progress in India’s Game Of Thrones.
