Sunny Deol declares assets worth Rs 87.18 crore during the Lok Sabha Elections 2019

Joining the bandwagon late, Sunny Deol recently announced that he will be contesting for the Gurdaspur seat in Punjab in the ongoing Lok Sabha Election 2019. As per the rules go, election contestants have to submit the round-up and accounts of all their movable assets and valuables while filing their nomination. Sunny has declared his total assets as Rs 87.18 crore. Read on to know more about the same.

Fighting for the Gurdaspur seat on a BJP ticket, the actor-turned-politician filed his nomination recently where he announced his overall assets to be worth Rs 87.18 crores. Ajay Singh Dharmendra Deol is the name mentioned in his nomination which was filed on Monday. On paper, his income for the year 2017-18 is mentioned as Rs 63.82 lakhs, for the year 2016-17, it is Rs. 96.29 lakhs, and Rs. 2.25 crores in 2015-16. His movable and immovable assets are worth Rs 60.46 crore and Rs. 21 crore, respectively.

Apart from movable assets, he also declared agricultural and non-agricultural land and an apartment in Oshiwara worth Rs. 21 crore. As for his qualification, he has mentioned having a diploma in acting and theatre from the Old Rep Theatre, Birmingham, UK.

The voting in Punjab will happen on the last day of the Lok Sabha Election which is May 19. The result for the same will be announced on May 23.
