Actress-singer Shruti Haasan took to Instagram recently and penned a heartfelt note along with the first look poster, on being part of her upcoming international film ‘The Eye’. Ever since the project was announced, it has been in the news and has piqued audiences’ interest. The makers recently revealed the poster of the film in which Shruti is seen along with her costar Mark Rowley in an intense emotional look.
The Daphne Schmon directorial is making waves across the festival circuit and has been nominated for Best director and Best Director of Photography at the Greek International Film Festival. It has also been nominated for Best Film at the London Independent Film Festival.
Sharing her joy with her fans and followers, Shruti wrote, “THE EYE Sometimes you get to be a part of something magical, emotional and truthful – this was that special movie for me – I can’t wait for all of you to see it The Eye has been nominated for best director @daphneschmon and best dop @jameschegwyn at the Greek international film screenings – nominated for best film at the London independent film festival The eye was filmed in corfu and made with love and care for the environment as well , the entire cast and crew worked toward reducing the environmental and carbon impact using the green shoots sustainability platform.”
On the home front, Shruti is gearing up for the release of the much-anticipated Salaar which will hit the screens in December.
