Jaina ShahSinger Sukhwinder Singh is popular nationally as well as internationally for his songs like Chhaiya Chhaiya and the Oscar winning anthem Jai Ho. Both these chart-busters were composed by none other than the legendary AR Rahman. And now Sukhwinder has revealed the latter’s secret of working only and only at night.
The singer will be seen in The Kapil Sharma Show this weekend. When asked about his experience of working with Rahman, Sukhwinder praised him and revealed why he is most active at night. He says, “After landing a project together, I was exposed to his immense talent and the passion he had for music and since then, I ended up working with him for five years. One day, out of curiosity I asked him to reveal the real reason of working in the night; to which AR Rahman said that he likes to explore his creativity in the night – in silence only”
Talking about his experience during Subhash Ghai’s Taal, the singer also revealed that the music director would mostly laugh with him adding, “I was the only person to make the music director laugh with my Punjabi jokes which I used to translate into English to make him understand.”
Both Sukhwinder Singh and AR Rahman have worked on several projects together and have created magic with the music of Taal, Slumdog Millionaire and Lagaan. For more Bollywood news and updates, stay tuned with CineBlitz.
