Abhishek Bachchan motivates jail inmates; 12 pass their Dasvi

Abhishek Bachchan is on a roll lately! With back-to-back critically acclaimed shows and films of the likes of Dasvi, Big Bull, Ludo, Breathe: Into The Shadows, among several others, the young actor has had quite a successful run lately and has earned a proud title called ‘OTT Ka Bachchan’ by fans and critics alike! While his latest box office release has had a tremendous impact on society, particularly the jail where he spent time shooting in Agra.

His character as a Politician who goes on to attempt his ‘Dasvi’ while serving his sentence in jail, and eventually clears it despite being in his 40s, has had a positive impact on the jail inmates. The story had convinced a few inmates to shoot their shots for their tenth grade exam. Now that the UP Board’s Class 10 results are out, news has been circulating of at least a dozen inmates passing.

Responding to the news, Abhishek Bachchan has expressed that this was a greater success than any honour he might have expected. He took to Twitter, “This is the best news of the day.” How wonderful!!! So proud of @TusharJalota and the # Dasvi team. Congratulations to the inmates.”
