Actress Urvashi Dholakia had an eventful journey as participant on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, which was started on Diwali this year. In the very first week of actual competition, Urvashi suffered two hairline fractures in her right toe, but being fighter by nature she performed with taping week by week.

On the eighth episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Urvashi said goodbye to the competition. She got to battle it out with Tanisha Mukerji to stay in competition. “When I got to know that I have to perform to be in competition my reaction was nothing ! but the fighting spirit was there ! that’s how I have always been.  If it had not happened this time, it would have happened a couple of weeks later or may be next week. But it’s bound to happen with somebody or other in the competition. So, I think we all have to be prepared for it,” Urvashi said.

“You just have to give it your best shot and at the end of the day everything is in the judges hands, especially when you are in last two positions. It’s the judges who decides and clearly, they decided what they had to ! I have respectfully and humbly accepted their judgment “Urvashi said, while sharing about what was in her mind when she got to know about finding herself in bottom two of competition,” she added.

Like any other participant of the show, Urvashi was also excited to be a part of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, and she had a dream to fulfil with the show. Throughout her acting career, people associated her with her legendary character Komolika from Kasautii Zindagii Kay. But with the help of this celebrity dance reality show, she wanted to showcase that she has lot more in herself to portray on screen.

Talking about her Jhalak journey, Urvashi said, “My journey with Jhalak may have been short but it was beautiful. I have made beautiful memories over the weeks, I got to know some amazing people, I made amazing friends with Anjali Anand, Rajiv Thakur, Sangeeta Phogat, Adrija such a cute child. I finally met Shiv this time and [he’s a] wonderful guy.

“Sreerama again reserved but at the same time very humble and sweet. Vivek Dahiya very helpful, very nice person. Karuna, I have been working with so whatever I say about Karuna will not be enough. I connected well with all these people and bonded with them and their choreographers; that’s the best part. So, I got a whole lot of friends on the way. Hopefully, they think and feel the same about me.
