On this World Population Day (July 11), the producers of the transmedia show Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon (MKBKSH) released a rap song promoting the use of condoms on YouTube. Sending a message to the youngsters, especially men, on the need for safe sexual practices, dual protection and male responsibility in family planning the song has catchy lyrics, and has been released through multiple channels under the campaign #CondomBole.

Speaking about the issue, creative director of MKBKSH, Feroz Abbas Khan said, “The condom rap allows us to talk about contraception and family planning, issues which are treated as taboo and controversial in our society without sounding preachy. The song, with its catchy lyrics and rhythm, will strike the right chord with the youth.” Check out the song here:

Composed by Piyush Kanojia, the rap has also been produced by Population Foundation of India (PFI) which is a national NGO promoting and advocating the effective formulation and implementation of gender sensitive population, health and development strategies and policies. MKBKSH is currently in its third season and deals with issues of women empowerment and family planning, airing every Saturday and Sunday on DD National. For more entertainment news and updates, stay tuned to CineBlitz.
