When three individuals head to an isolated house to help a friend’s sister during a crisis, dead bodies stack up as a killer starts hunting them down. What’s his motive and will the friends escape? Set on election day in 1991, the movie begins with a double murder and two men trying to bury the corpses. It doesn’t take long for the third dead body to drop by.

One of the culprits is only a hapless hostage forced by the killer to obey. Soon, three friends visit the isolated house in a deep forest. The trio is there at their friend Shyali’s (Trishana Goswami) behest to save her look-alike sister who has been entrapped in an abusive marriage. However, things take a very strange turn when they mistake the house help, Raju (Zahid Khan), for the alcoholic and abusive husband (Avinash Gupta).

The rest of the story is more than enough to create a lot of confusion in the minds of the viewer as to who the murderer is and why he or for that matter she is on a dangerous killing spree.

The biggest disappointment of the movie is that despite being pegged as a crime drama as well as psychological thriller, the movie packs no thrill or fear factor at all, even as homicides continue to take place, one after the other.

If you ask me about the performances in this insipid movie, all that I can say is that they leave a lot to be desired, with the exception of Sanjana Deshmukh, who has screen presence, and Anika Arya, with her sincere act. Though Trishna Goswami has a very promising role, sadly she fails to elevate it. As far as the rest of the cast, which comprises Avinash Gupta, Zahid Khan, and Himanshu Shekhar, they merely face the camera but don’t add to the plate for you to write about.

Though the producer-director Sareesh Sudhakaran is good as far as cinematography and background music department are concerned, especially since some scenes as well as the eerie atmosphere have been captured decently, the film leaves a lot to be desired, as far as both the inept content as well as the niche treatment are concerned.

To sum up, on the whole, I should say that with a weak story, underwhelming plot, and altogether forgettable performances, Gin Ke Dus is one half-baked as well as staid film that fails to deliver as it does not at all set out to deliver what it promises.
