After Javed Akhtar, now it’s Sameer Anjaan who has come forward and revealed that he hasn’t penned any lyrics for PM Narendra Modi biopic. Earlier in the day, Akhtar took to social media and cleared the air about having no association with the much-hyped film. He wrote on Twitter that the makers of PM Narendra Modi had wrongly credited him for a song. And now it’s surprising to know that yet another lyricist has been wrongly mentioned in the film’s poster. Yes, we are talking about Sameer Anjaan.

Just like Akhtar, Anjaan also took to social media and clarified about the whole episode. When we got in touch with him asking about the same, he said, “It came to me as a surprise to see my name on the poster, as I have not written anything for the film. It could be possible that the filmmakers might have recreated our song but we haven’t been informed as now a days they don’t even inform the singers or writers if our songs are taken for recreation.” He further added, “When I tried to get in touch with  someone from the team, they kept pushing to each other and when finally I got the assistant director’s name, he instead asked me where did I got his contact from. And later the assistant director said he will get back to me which he didn’t.” Now that two well-known lyricists have denied writing any songs for the film, the controversy around Vivek starrer has only turned uglier.

PM Narendra Modi is directed by Omung Kumar B and is co-produced by Sandeep Singh and Suresh Oberoi. It is slated to release on April 5. But with so many troubles brewing around the film, it seems highly unlikely that the biopic will have a smooth release in India. For more updates on this front stay tuned to CineBlitz
