After travelling the world, the former miss world Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has landed in the city of Sydney. Well, not quite literally but her new wax statue has been unveiled at Madame Tussauds Sydney on Wednesday (July 24). Her statue is placed next to her Mohabbatein co-star Shah Rukh Khan but only on a temporary basis.
Well, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s statue will be besides SRK only till January 2020. Before you start wondering what will happen to Rai’s statue after that, let us tell you that it will be shifted to New York. The team took to its social media to make the announcement. Mark Connolly, General Manager at Madame Tussauds Sydney said, “We’re excited to announce that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has joined the Madame Tussauds family and will be here for a limited time only. The pose of the figure is based on her red carpet look at the Robin Hood film premiere at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival in May 2010 and we think it looks spot on! She is only in Sydney until January 2020 so be sure to catch her before she jets back off to Madame Tussauds New York!”
