Apeksha Porwal starts shooting for Season 2 of international web series Slave Market

Actor Apeksha Porwal started shooting in UAE for the second season of the critically acclaimed English-Arabic international web series, Slave Market. The first season of Salve Market had released to extremely positive reviews in the Middle East in 2023. It has consistently been in top 10 shows on streaming platform Shahid in India as well over 6 weeks. Along with Fayez Bin Jurays, Al Anoud Saud, Hashim Najdi, Haneen Turkistany, Nawaf al-Dhufairi, Nagham al-Malki, Marzouk al-Ghamdy, Saeed al-Qahtani, Shyam Kishore, Janique Charles, Chris J Gordon, Avant Strangel, Justina Biosah, Genlee Motlana, Paballo Owami Landu, Shannon Gaskin, Nick Cornwall, Natasha Choufani, Lauren Elise Thomas, Nizar Alsulaimani, and Sumaiah Abdulwahab.

Apeksha has left for the shooting of her upcoming web show Slave Market season 2 in Abu Dhabi. She expressed her excitement and stated, “Shooting Slave Market season 1 was a beautiful and enriching experience. The amount of love the audience gave the show was the cherry on the cake. I am super excited to start shooting Season 2 in Abu Dhabi and cannot wait to share my character’s journey ahead with the audiences.”

The nine-episode series, which is produced by Middle Eastern media behemoth MBC Studios, is written by renowned Kuwaiti author Heba Mashari Hamada and is helmed by award-winning Tunisian director Lassaad Oueslati. It is set in the 1900s and Apeksha Porwal is the Indian lead in this multinational cast, who plays an Indian princess who is captured and sold into slavery while also experiencing a tumultuous love story.
