Rohit Shetty praises Ashoke Pandit and citizens of Juhu Scheme for fighting against the land mafia and rescuing the garden area

Recently citizens of Mumbai gave a spirited fight to save a garden which is situated at Gulmohar Cross Road No. 13 off Vidyanidhi Marg in the Juhu Scheme area of the city.

The land sharks are all over the country who just don’t even care about public spaces and only work for their self-interests. Mumbai is no exception. But recently citizens of Mumbai gave a spirited fight to save a garden which is situated at Gulmohar Cross Road No. 13 off Vidyanidhi Marg in the Juhu Scheme area of the city. After developing and beautifying the garden area, it was today inaugurated by filmmaker Rohit Shetty who praised the efforts of all the citizens from the Juhu Scheme area who fought for around 10 years to reclaim the garden from the land mafia.

Notably, BJP MLA Shri Ameet Satam took the initiative to develop the garden area and made many efforts for its beautification. After inaugurating the garden, one of the biggest filmmakers in the country, Rohit Shetty spoke about the citizens in high regard. Praising the citizens of the area Rohit Shetty said, “It was your fight which was led by Ashoke Pandit. I just came to support you all. I am happy for what you all have achieved with your fighting spirit”.

Present on the occasion filmmaker Ashoke Pandit said that it is not easy to fight such land sharks who want to grab everything they set their eyes on. He further said, “We are thankful to filmmaker Rohit Shetty who inaugurated the public garden which is situated in Juhu Scheme where Rohit Shetty himself stays. The garden is the outcome of the citizens’ fight against the land mafia. The citizens fought for 10 years to reclaim the garden. This battle has come to an end with the beautiful garden which has been funded by our dynamic MLA Ameet Satam of the BJP”.

Ashoke Pandit said, ” It’s a dream come true for the local citizens who really fought day in and day out to save this huge open space, a public garden which was actually engulfed by the builders to make a tower. I am really grateful that the media today came here to cover the event as it’s a great day for each and every common man.”

On the occasion Architect PK Das, BJP Corporator Sudha Singh, BJP Corporator Rohan Rathod, and other dignitaries like Bharat Shetty, Samarth Dasz Navina Shetty, Nita Bajpai, Hema Shankar, Sangeeta Bajpai were also present.
