Hauli Hauli Song: Ajay, Tabu and Rakul Preet’s song is a lukewarm rehash of the original hit

Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Raku Preet starrer De De Pyaar De has been lapping everyone’s attention lately. With Ajay Devgn back with a bang, Tabu in a lighter role, and Rakul’s lively character, we are all excited to see what’s in store for us. Meanwhile, promotions have been going on in full swing. As a part of it, some tracks from the film have made its way to us, with the third track from the film just released. Titled Hauli Hauli, it is yet another rehashed single by composer Tanishk Bagchi.

Picturised on Ajay, Tabu and Rakul, Hauli Hauli is a recreation of the blockbuster hit Yeah Baby, originally sung by Garry Sandhu. Sung by Neha Kakkar and Garry Sandhu, the hook line ‘Hauli Hauli’ is the only part that has been retained from the original track. The new lyrics and the composition are pretty mediocre, just like any other rehashed Bollywood number. However, it’s full of pump and beats, which would grow on you eventually. Or hopefully!

A refreshing change, on the other hand, is seeing Tabu letting her hair down and shaking a leg or two, which made us smile. Tabu is often seen in serious roles, so this was a pleasant surprise.
