The entire world today knows that Marathi films tackle a wide variety of inflammable issues which excruciate the hearts of the viewers. It is one of the main reasons why you can see Marathi films occupying a place of pride at various International festivals. Yet another topical film called Faas designed to appeal to all viewers of different stratas is all set to be released on 4, February 2022. Till date, the film has been showcased at various International film festivals and bestowed with over 130 prestigeous awards and brought honor to the film industry in a big way

The film which has been made by Maheshwari Patil Chakurkar under the banner of Maa Entertainment will set out to dwell at length on the issues faced by those who are in the the lowest denominator. Narsh Patil, Pallavi Palkar, Dayanand Avarade, Basavraj Patil, Anil Patil, Vaishali Pettawad are the co-producers of the film. Directed by Avinash Kolte, the film ets out to tackle the various issues in society today. It speaks about the alarming increase in the rate of suicides by farmers, the resurgence of lack of balance in nature, the impact of the government directioves on the farmers and their families. The film won appreciation at the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes as well as the festivals organised in neighboring counties like Japan, Paris besides Noida and Rajasthan. Upendra Limaye, Sayaji Shinde, Kamlesh Sawant, Pallavi Palkar, Ganesh Chandanshive, Navdev Patil, Nilesh Bade, Dhyanesh Undagavkar, Umesh Rajhans, Sharad Kakade, Ishwar More, Pawan Vaidya, Vinay Joshi, Deva Pandey, Pooja Tayade, Tejaswini, Madhuri Bharati and Shrutika Londhe have played prominent roles in the film. The film has been embellished by a power packed incisive social plot and bravura performances par excellence by the actors. The film has been shot on real locations which will appeal to the audiences in a big way as the film is aided by lyrics as well as music which adhere to the situations and touch the innernost recesses of the hearts of the audiences.

The title Faas by itself indicates how the film is realistic as far as its approach is concerned. Talking about this, director Avinash Kolte reiterates that while penning the story as well as the screenplay, we studied with diligence the lives of the farmers and kept in mind the intricate nuances of the day to day life as well as their trials and tribulations. That the entertainment medium has been used to show the reality of society will be shown through the film, the audiences will realise. Since the film has been made keeping in mind the blend of entertainment as well as social awareness, after winning accolaxdes as well as awards at various Indian as well as International film festivals galore, the producers are extremely excited and happy that the film is going to be presented on a platter to the audiences in our country too, Avinash Kolte declared.

While the story as well as the dialogues screenplay of Faas has been written by Maheshwari Patil Chakurkar, Avinash Kolte has penned the screenplay for the film. Ramani Ranjan Das has cranked the camera as the DOP of the film while Apoorva Motiwale and Aashish Mhatre have edited the film. Santosh Samudre has done the art direction while music director Allen K.P has composed the songs written by lyricist Amol Deshmukh.
