Imtiaz Ali ropes in Randeep Hooda for Love Aaj Kal 2? Read exclusive details

Imtiaz Ali had directed Randeep Hooda in one of Bollywood’s most iconic films Highway in 2014. And now there’s good news for their fans as buzz suggests that Randeep has been roped in by Imtiaz for his next, Love Aaj Kal 2. While there’s no confirmation from the filmmaker, insiders reveal that Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan have already been locked in to play the romantic leads in the sequel to the Saif Ali Khan-Deepika Padukone-starrer Love Aaj Kal (2009). With Randeep being signed on, there’s even more excitement to see what role will he be playing this time around, as he and Imtiaz team up after five years.

Sources say, “Randeep has almost been signed on for the film and the technicalities are being worked out. Imtiaz was keen for Randeep to play this role and they are said to be glad to be teaming up once again for this film.” The film is already said to be in pre-production, although the makers are tight-lipped about it. With Highway that also starred Alia Bhatt, the filmmaker had given Randeep one of his best roles. So naturally, it will be exciting to see what the director has planned for him this time.

The film has been much in news ever since it was learnt that Sara may be romantically paired opposite Kartik in the sequel to her father’s 2009 romantic drama. What was more exciting was the fact that the buzz came about soon after she revealed on Karan Johar’s talk show that she would like to date Kartik.
