That Aamir Khan is a perfectionist when it comes to his professional life is a well-known fact in the industry. The actor is known to immerse himself completely in the film as well as the character that he plans to portray on screen. And now, it looks like he’s set to prove himself as a perfectionist father too. Buzz is that the actor has trained his sights on ensuring that his son Junaid gets the perfect launch as an actor. According to insiders, the actor is preparing to launch Junaid in the remake of the famous Tom Hanks comedy-drama film Forrest Gump (1994). Apparently, the star-son is already under training for the film and for it, Aamir’s even put his own projects on a hold.

Our insider source says, “Aamir is ensuring that before embarking on his journey as an actor, Junaid is well-prepared. So, he’s got Junaid enrolled for diction classes. It’s not like Aamir is not working himself, but all his energies are now focussed on Junaid’s launch. He’s closely monitoring all progress, and will only announce anything once he is sure that Junaid is well-prepared. Junaid on his part, is extremely dedicated too.” According to insiders, director of Secret Superstar, Advait Chandan is also expected to be associated with the project.

The second-highest grossing film of 1994, Forrest Gump was directed by Robert Zemeckis and revolved around the kind-hearted, but slow-witted Forrest Gump (Hanks), who witnesses several defining historical events in the US. The film won the Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Tom Hanks), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Visual Effects and Best Film Editing.
