Kalank teaser: Aditya Roy Kapur romances two ladies in the period drama – watch video

Ever since Kalank’s first look was unveiled, we have been eagerly waiting to see more of the film. And this morning we did. The 2-minute long teaser of Karan Johar’ period drama only left us with raised eyebrows and jaws-dropped. But there is more to the teaser if you read between the lines. Well, we are particularly talking about Aditya Roy Kapur’s character and from the teaser; we say that he will be seen romancing both Alia Bhatt and Sonakshi Sinha in the film.

Though we see Alia clearly being married to Aditya, there is a blink-and-miss shot of Aditya and Sonakshi cuddling up too. Yes, in the teaser at 1 minute 40 seconds, you will see Sonakshi hugging Aditya and it makes us wonder if she is his secret lover in the film. Going by what we have figured out from the teaser, it seems Sona is married in the film and we are assuming Kunal Kemmu will be playing the role of her husband. Overall, while the teaser looks stunning, the love angle between Alia and Varun will also be interesting to see in a set up like that. Check out Kalank’s teaser right here if you haven’t already:

Produced by Karan Johar, the period drama is directed by Abhishek Varman and stars Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Kunal Kemmu. It is also rumoured that Lust Stories actress Kiara Advani might have a special appearance in the film. Kalank is slated to release on April 17 and we are sure you just can’t wait to see Sanjay-Madhuri share screen space after 21 years or even Varun Dhawan fight a bull.
