Kamal Amrohi Studio to be redeveloped as commercial office complex

Almost six decades old, Kamal Amrohi Studio is one of the oldest studios in Mumbai. Founded by late filmmaker Kamal Amrohi, several hit Bollywood films have been shot there. Now, the studio is set to be redeveloped as the single largest commercial office park in the city.

As per reports by a portal, the Bengaluru-headquartered RMZ Corp, one of the country’s largest office park developers, along with Avinash Bhosale Infrastructure and DB Realty is set to embark on a seven million sq ft project valued at nearly $3 billion. This follows Bhosale and DB Realty buying out the residual shareholding of the Amrohi family and settling all legal cases that have dogged the 25-acre property for years. The studio will be renamed Nexus.
