Kartik Aryan talks about his upcoming horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiya 2’s comparison to its prequel

Bhool Bulaiya 2 starring Kiara Advani and Kartik Aryan is set to release on 29th May. The horror-comedy trailer is taking fans by the wave as it is a hilarious blend of Kartik Aryan’s comic timing, Tabu’s mysterious personality, and Kiara Advani’s graceful expressions.

Coming out as a sequel to a blockbuster film like a Bhool Bhaiya one comes with challenges of its own. Responding to the question about being compared to its prequel and Akshay Kumar’s work in it Kartik said “I did not wish to compare myself to him and it’s not entirely right; so that shouldn’t be done. But yes, I loved him in Bhool Bhulaiya…I’ve grown up watching him. I love him as an actor. It would be better if this comparison is not done, of course, the film comes out as a sequel, it’s based in a similar world, my role has some nostalgic characteristics that resemble his, but the film at the same time has new ventures of its own with the characters and story. We’ve tried new things, so we hope people will love the whole dynamic we’ve created with Bhool Bhulaiya 2. The movie will be compared by some but I hope that people see and remember it as Bhool Bhulaiya 2.”

Kiara, who is also shown as Manjulika… a ghost… in the movie trailer, was asked if there was anyone she would like to call from the dead. She very beautifully answered “Nahi, kyuki every single person whom I’ve left in my life is added to my life. So definitely not. There is no one I like to call.”

The movie brings back the element of nostalgia as Kartik rightly mentions, although the script with its uniqueness and talents like it has is sure to entertain the audience on its release.
