Kesari song Ajj Singh Garjega: Akshay Kumar’s latest track is filled with pride and power

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Kesari is a true story about bravery and the trailer did full justice to it. Plus, a turban-clad Akshay Kumar was an absolute visual delight in the video which had war scenes and some really hard-hitting dialogues. No wonder, the buzz around Kesari increased further courtesy the solid trailer which was released not too long ago. The makers have now dropped the second song from the film after Sanu Kehndi. And we are pretty sure you guys will feel all charged up as soon as you listen to it. Titled Ajj Singh Garjega, the Punjabi song has been sung Jazzy B.

Interestingly, Akshay Kumar was so moved by the lyrics that he even sang a few lines from the song and shared the video of the same on social media before the release of the song to keep us all excited. A source said, “Akshay was extremely moved by the powerful lyrics of the track. Along with the sequence, it also stirred sentiments of nationalism that the characters feel in the movie.” The insider adds, “Akshay was charged up with the composition and the visuals. It was apparent that his voice would enhance the emotions of the character.” Well, after listening to the song we also feel very energised.

Penned by Kunwar Juneja, the music has been composed by Chirrantan Bhatt. The song is so impactful that it will definitely put you in high-spirits no matter where you are. Not just the tune, but the tumbi and the strokes by Tapas Roy also add that extra punch to the song. As for the video, it shows Akshay Kumar in an angry, ambitious mood, ready to fight the intruders. His dialogues and action scenes totally match the energy of the song and set the mood for the track. Without a doubt, Ajj Singh Garjega is worth hearing. For those unaware, Kesari is about the Battle of Saragarhi which took place in 1897 where 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans. In the film, Akshay is essaying the role of Havildar Ishar Singh. Also starring Parineeti Chopra, the film has been made by well-known Punjabi director Anurag Singh. Produced under the banner of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Kesari is releasing on March 21.
