Kunal Kemmu is a name that is synonymous with acting skills, comic timing, and versatility. The actor has been leaving a solid impression on audiences ever since his debut film Kalyug and with projects like Dhol, Golmaal Series, Go Goa Gone, Malang, Abhay, and the list would go on. Ever since his debut Kunal is seen dabbling in different genres may it be a thriller, drama, murder mystery, or comedy, and even in comedy the actor has successfully dabbled into subgenres like situational comedy, dark comedy, family & slapstick comedy to name a few. Due to this interesting trajectory, the audiences have started to hail him as the Master of Genres.
When asked about dabbling into various genres throughout his journey, here’s what Kunal had to say “When I started, I was offered only serious parts, then I was offered Dhol. After doing Dhol, I did 99, Golmaal, and even Go Goa Gone, and then 90% of the roles that came were all comedy interestingly in the same year I was offered Kalank, Malang, and Abhay and these were all a welcome change from the comedies I was doing.” The actor further added it’s important to break the monotony and to enjoy your work equally to which he further said, “One should be willing to dabble in different genres as it helps you to be a better artist.”
Kunal recently received praise for his performances in Kanjoos Makkichoos and Pop Kaun. The actor will be next seen in Gulkanda Tales helmed by Raj – DK and he’s currently working on the post-production of his directorial debut Madgoan Express which is going to hit the big screen this year.
