Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani begin shoot for Laaxmi Bomb but where’s Amitabh Bachchan?

After getting cash registers ringing with Kesari and having three more films lined up for release this year, Akshay Kumar has now started work one more project. Yes, Akki is starring in the Hindi remake of Tamil film Kanchana 2 and it will also feature Amitabh Bachchan and Kiara Advani in pivotal roles. Yesterday, the film went on floors and director Raghava Lawrence took to Twitter to share few pictures from the sets.

Along with the pictures, Raghava wrote, “Hi dear Friends Fans..! shooting with beautiful actress @Advani_Kiara and my producer @RowdyGabbar #KanchanaHindiRemake #laaxmibomb.” While talking about the film, a source was quoted saying, “Akshay plays the protagonist who gets possessed by the spirit of a transgender, Kiara will portray the superstar’s girlfriend in the movie. Although the female lead did not have a significant role in the original version, Kiara will enjoy a substantial part in the adaptation. The script too has been tweaked to suit the sensibilities of the Hindi film audience.”

Reportedly, in the film, Big B will be portraying the role of a transgender ghost. While this piece of information hasn’t been confirmed, we hope it’s true because it would be interesting to see Amitabh Bachchan play such a different role for the very first time.
