Akshaye Khanna, Richa Chadha, Meera Chopra’s Section 375 gets a release date – details inside

Every now and then we read about sexual harassment cases not just in newspapers but across all media platforms. It’s always unpleasant to read such news, isn’t it? In fact, just a few days back, television actor Karan Oberoi was arrested for alleged rape and blackmailing. However, keeping aside the case, the main news is that Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chadha have come together for filmmaker Ajay Bahl’s next.

Titled Section 375, it is based on an important law that has been applied to the rape cases in the country.  In the film, Akshaye essays the role of a defence lawyer to a film director, whose character is played by Rahul Bhatt. Rahul is accused of rape while Richa Chadha plays a gutsy public prosecutor arguing for the victim, played by Meera Chopra.

Backed by Bhushan Kumar, Kishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, the film will hit the theatres on 2 August 2019. Till then, stay tuned to CineBlitz for more updates.
