As Cyclone Fani hits Odisha, Mahesh Bhatt recalls his documentary The Calamity That Was!

The tension level in East of India is high with Cyclone Fani making its rounds. We urge everyone to stay safe! As Cyclone Fani looms large, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who is also known for his documentaries, took a trip down memory lane and shared his experience around making a documentary about the cyclone that shook Odisha 20 years ago. He also shared a link of the same.

20 years back, Mahesh Bhatt and Ajay Kanchan made a documentary about the Super Cyclone that hit Odisha titled The Calamity That Was. Today, Bhatt took to Twitter, reviving memories of making the documentary about the cyclone that changed him forever. He wrote, “20 years back there was a Super Cyclone in Odisha! That one calamity changed me forever! My documentary, The Calamity That Was, with my friend Ajay Kanchan shook the world with its depiction of life caught in middle of nature’s fury!”
