Auli wedding: The 200 crore extravaganza leaves the pristine location with 4000 kgs of garbage – details inside

The Rs 200-crore wedding of South Africa based Gupta family has left the Municipal Corporation with a really challenging task. Yes, what was said to be one of the biggest high profile weddings of this year, has turned into a nightmare for The Municipal Corporation after it left Auli with a huge dump of 4000 kgs garbage.

The festivities of Ajay Gupta’s son Suryakant had taken place in Auli from June 18 to June 20. And the second marriage of his brother, Atul Gupta’s son Shashank was held from June 20 to June 22. While many popular artists were flown to the pristine location, what now lies there is not a happy picture. While a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed stating that all of the wedding preparations were hazardous to the environment.

Anil, who is the Supervisor of the Nagar Palika Parishad of Joshimath, along with a team of 20 men were appointed the task to deal with the waste.
