Today is the day we all have been waiting for. Karan Johar’s highly anticipated film Kalank has finally hit the screens. The movie received a lot of praise after it’s teaser and trailer hit the web. But now that the film is out, has it impressed the audience big time? Well, while some are going gaga over the magnum opus, few aren’t happy with Abhishek Varman’s directorial venture. But that’s how it is. You can’t please everyone, right?
One of the cinephiles said, “This film was fantastic but the film was too long. The characters in the film had their own story. The film is seen through Alia’s perspective and you have to give each of their characters sometime and the storyline is quite intriguing. My favourite song in the film is First Class. If you’re a fan of watching period drama films that are supposed to be long, do go and watch it. Stay with the characters and try immersing yourself in it and who knows, you might end up crying at the end of the film.” And the other one simply declared, “It is very nice and an awesome picture.” Watch the video below:
Kalank, helmed by Abhishek Varman, stars Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Sanjay Dutt in the lead. Circa 1945, it narrates the story of some deeply buried secrets that simmer into light when two young lovers come together and their romance soon starts blossoming.
