Shatrughan Sinha joins congress

While the election fever has gripped the entire nation, new names are being added to the list of candidature almost every other day. The most recent one that has grabbed everyone’s attention is that of Shatrughan Sinha. Yes, after his fallout with Bharatiya Janata Party, Sinha is now joining Congress. The yesteryear actor-turned-politician will be contesting for the Patna Sahib seat which is not surprising at all. Read on to know more details.

Shatrughan Sinha, a two-term sitting MP from Patna Sahib, was miffed with his party BJP after they decided to field Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad for the very seat. Not just the veteran actor himself, in fact, everyone was surprised knowing his name wasn’t considered for the Patna Sahib seat. Later, Sonakshi Sinha’s daddy dearest took to the popular microblogging site Twitter and vented out his anger against BJP. But now that Sinha is joining the Congress party, he is very much likely to go against Ravi Shankar Prasad in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The 72-year-old superstar will formally join Congress on March 26.

In the past, Shatrughan Sinha has taken digs at PM Narendra Modi and even at the party president Amit Shah while discussing issues like crises and demonetisation. A few days back, he had even dropped a hint about not continuing to work under the current PM. The veteran actor had posted an Urdu verse on Twitter which meant that the PM may have a lot of admirers but Sinha is not one of them. The tweet had already pointed out the tension between him and the party and now this decision of his is the conclusion and the start of a new journey. But will he win in his constituency while representing Congress? Only time will tell. For more updates on this front, stay tuned to CineBlitz!
