After garnering immense love for his last song ‘Baatein Karo’,  Vayu is back with another beautiful song “Mummy”. This time he has written, sung and composed it as a heartfelt ode to the bond between us and our mothers. In typical Vayu style, the lyrics are simple and filled with emotions

This song is not only about our mothers/mother figures being our go-to person, but it is also about how we as adults continue to comfort them that everything is ok, even though we may be struggling with bad days. The song is about how we always put on a mask of calm before our mothers, even though she can see right through us. Mummy’s lyrics are a beautiful reminder that it’s fine to let go and share our worries with our one source of everlasting, unwavering love – our mothers

Vayu shares, “Whenever we get hurt, 99 times out of 100, we call out “mummy!”. Our mothers have always been a strong source of strength and comfort to us. However much we might lie to them that we’re fine and capable of handling our own troubles, our mothers always know when it hurts us the most and they’re always there for us. Mummy is an attempt to capture that emotion.”

Vayu’s last song “Baatein Karo” was widely appreciated for its composition and how the lyrics perfectly resonated with the current scenario where people are locked down in their homes and are starting to have a conversation with their loved ones. Now the same team- Vayu along with Vaibhav Pani (producer) and Abhishek Gautam (mixing engineer) is back with another emotional song “Mummy”, just in time for Mother’s Day.

Vayu is a multi-faceted artiste – a lyricist, composer, and a singer. His strong songwriting skills lie at the core of his art. Vayu is best known among the millennial audience for his quirky dance numbers in Hindi Films – Banno, Beat Pe Booty, Twist Kamariya, Nari Nari to name a few.

His last pop single, Naagin, with Aastha Gill, Akasa and Puri, is a 5X Platinum record with 170MN+ views on YouTube. He has also composed as well as written songs for the film Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan in recent times.
