After seven successful seasons of ruling reality television and winning audiences over with
melodious renditions and dhamakedaar performances by its phenomenally talented child singers, Zee TV’s marquee singing reality show for kids Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs is back with season 8. The new season has the legends of Indian music – Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu as the judges and popular anchor, Maniesh Paul, as the host. This weekend, the audience will be in for a treat and groove to the most popular tunes of the
90’s.

In this week’s special episode, post the performance of contestants Bobby and Gurkeerat where they bring out the essence of famous songs like ‘Udd Ja Kaale Kawan’ and ‘Ab tere bin jee lenge hum’, host Maniesh caught Kumar Sanu by surprise when he played a specially curated video by his brother and left him in a moment of nostalgia. But this was certainly not the end of it as Maniesh had more in store for Sanu. Next, he called up on stage, Sanu’s manager Jagdish who has been working with him from 32 years, to share his experience of working with the singer and the special relationship the two share. Jagdish Bhardwaj revealed some great memories on stage and some selfless deeds that Kumar Sanu has done in his life for his people. He revealed how Kumar Sanu has been a great support system for him since 1989 and when in 1993, India was facing chaos and curfew he helped him with a very handsome amount to buy a house closer to his place just because Kumar Sanu was really concerned about him. Not just that, he also shared that the singer has been providing financial support to 3 schools in India. To which, Kumar Sanu replied saying, "Schools that I support, their job is to provide literacy to the kids whose parents can't afford school fees. I am not with any NGO as such but whatever I earn, some percentage of that amount goes to these schools. I would also like to thank Alka ji, she has done charity shows in Delhi for my schools. The key problems in our country is literacy and poverty. While poverty restricts literacy, literacy among masses including poor individuals, on the other hand, can help uplift the living standards of the society as a whole.”  With the most popular 90s music names like Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu in the house,  the talented little champs are ready to win over the audience’s hearts with heartwarming performances on 90s chartbusters. While Dhani and Radhika gave a spectacular duet performance as they sang Haye mera dil and Chori Chori Jab Nazrein, Madhav and Aryananda's duet performance to Akele Hain Toh Kya Gam Hai and Rahon Mein Unse Mulakat Hogayi will leave their viewers wanting for more. All in all, the upcoming episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs will have a lot of 90’s melodies and surprises fo the viewers.
