Planet Marathi, NCPA concludes ‘Pratibimb – Marathi Theater Festival 2023’

Planet Marathi has always entertained the audience with the best of art. Planet Marathi comes to the audience with a new initiative every time. Recently, Planet Marathi in association with The National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) organized the festival ‘Pratibimb – Marathi Natya Utsav 2023’. The three-day festival included plays, readings, campus tours, talks with theater experts, workshops. Many dignitaries were present on this occasion.

The premiere of writer-director-actor Makarand Deshpande’s one-act play Sainik was also organized in this festival. Trials of the plays Kalagitura directed by Sachin Shinde, Prasthan aka Exit directed by Alok Rajwade, Uchchad directed by Anupam Barve, Charchaughi directed by Chandrakant Kulkarni were presented. While Priya Bhai… Ek Kavita Hai Hai, a musical program directed by Amit Vaze, was organized. On this occasion Rohini Hattangadi, Makarand Deshpande, Amrita Subhash, Pratima Kulkarni, Anita Date, Mugdha Godbole, Saili Pathak, Alok Rajwade, Parn Pethe, Kadambari Kadam were interviewed in this festival which will soon be seen on Planet Marathi OTT.

Akshay Bardapurkar, founder and head of Planet Marathi, says about the festival, “Popular as well as experimental plays from the theater industry participated in this festival. The living tradition of theater in Maharashtra was reflected in ‘Pratibim – Marathi Natya Utsav 2023’. Many celebrities participated in this festival.
