Ranveer Singh- Sara Ali Khan’s Simmba breaks another record with Aankh Maarey – read details

As if the roaring success at the box office wasn’t enough for Simmba that has gone on to become a superhit in weeks within its release in December, the Rohit Shetty film starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan is continuing to break many other records too. After celebrating 25 million views for their remix of the song ‘Aankh Maarey’ on YouTube, today they are celebrating more than 300 views within a span of 41 days. This will be the fastest song to reach 300 million views.

The first Hindi song to cross this number was ‘Nashe Si Chadh Gayi’ which was again from a Ranveer Singh starrer – Befikre along with Vaani Kapoor. And breaking that record, the fastest now is Simmba’s ‘Aankh Marey’. The lyrics of the song are extremely catchy and were originally written by Anand Bakshi. They were later rewritten for the new version song by Shabbir Ahmed and recreated by Tanishk Bagchi. The feel of this song is full of fun and party which makes it more relevant in today’s music. The singers of the original ‘Aankh Marey’ are legendary Kumar Sanu and Kavita Krishnamurthy. For Simmba the voice is given by energetic Neha Kakkar and Mika Singh along with Kumar Sanu.

Ranveer and Sara are nailing it with their movies in the song and to add the comedy element to the song there is cameo of Arshad Warsi on whom the earlier version was made. Along with them there is entire cast of Golmaal who are seen dancing for a few seconds on Kumar Sanu’s voice between the songs. It starts with Karan Johar saying ‘another Remix’ and the song takes off right from there. The beats of the song will make you groove too. What do you think of the song?
