The festive period came this month and the nation celebrated Diwali with full zest and gusto. The festival of lights is all about celebrating the Indian culture and promote love and inclusivity. Sahil Salathia took that a notch higher with this festive celebration as he brought in a little bit of tradition from Nepal in his festivities.

Kukur Tihar is a famous festival in Nepal where people worship dogs as they are considered messengers of Lord Yama, God of Death. During the festival, treating dogs with any kind of disrespect is considered a sin. It is also celebrated around Diwali time. And taking a cue from it, Sahil celebrated the festival this year by including his pet dogs in Laxmi Puja at his home.

On including his pets in the Puja, Sahil says, “My dogs are a part of my family. They are like my kids, and don’t they also deserve to be blessed by the God? I feel dogs are God’s best creation, they are more loyal and ethical than humans. Having them be a part of the Laxmi Puja made Diwali feel more complete. I can truly say that it was a full family celebration at the Salathia household this year

Sahil is an avid animal lover and a vocal supporter of their rights. He not only impresses with his skills on screen but also with the way he leads his life in the real world. The actor knows how to bring his own twist to things and his festive celebration is something we can all learn from. On the work front, Sahil was seen in Amazon Prime Video’s first horror series Adhura this year, for which he received a lot of appreciation. Up next, he has some interesting projects in the pipeline.
