Arjun-Kapoor-on-Sandeep-delay

Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra became one of the most liked jodis after they were first spotted in their debut film, Ishqzaade. They went on to do Namaste England after that but guess their fans want more of the two. That’s when Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar happened, and fans are excited to see the duo on the big screen yet again. But it looks like the film is yet to see the light of day. No update about the film was made and hence when the media got a chance to talk about it, they asked Arjun about the status of the film. He then revealed why his film Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar hasn’t released yet, even though the shoot of the film is complete.

At an event, Arjun explained that the production house, YRF, had released a statement confirming the status of the film and the sole reason for the delay was difficulty in getting a clear window for release. He even said that the film was supposed to hit theatres on March 1. But because there were two mainstream releases – Sonchiriya and Luka Chuppi – starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar and Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon respectively – on that day, they decided to shift the date.

He further said that because India’s Most Wanted was releasing on May 24, the film got pushed further. He clearly mentioned that he and the director of the film, Raj Kumar Gupta, had already given a commitment, and hence they refrained from postponing one film for the other. He said that it wouldn’t have made much sense either, so he decided to retain the release date of India’s Most Wanted.

Apart from India’s Most Wanted and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Arjun will also be seen in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Panipat. The film will be a periodical drama and will feature Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon in pivotal roles as well. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more such updates and gossip.
