Sanjay Leela Bhansali to launch niece Sharmin Segal and we have all the deets

While there are many new actors coming in the film industry, this one is a little special as she will get her first break in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali (SLB) film. Yes, you heard that right! Well, we are talking about Sharmin Segal who is all set to make her big her big Bollywood debut. If you’re wondering who she is then let us fill you in that she is Bhansali’s niece. After being groomed by the man himself, Sharmin is now ready to face the camera and will be seen in Bhansali’s upcoming production venture. In fact, she has signed a three-film deal with SLB. Guess the Padmaavat director has a lot of faith in his niece.

Talking about her film debut, Sharmin Segal said, “When I decided to become an actor what excited me the most was the idea that I would feel emotions and experience experiences I wouldn’t normally have every day. I’m happy that this launch has allowed me to do that, making it a difficult but still fulfilling experience.” Buzz is that Bhansali has casted her in Malaal which is a romantic film and will star Javeed Jaaferi’s son Mizaan in the lead.

Confirming the news, Prerna Singh, CEO of Bhansali Productions Pvt. Ltd (BPPL) said in an interview, “In a time where character roles are more mainstream and audiences crave pure pleasure of the story. Launching and promoting new talent felt right as newness is the only change. With Sharmin’s launch, we at BPPL are just being true to SLB’s vision and we have signed her for3 films.”
