Sara Ali Khan rejected Vicky Kaushal’s Udham Singh biopic because of THIS reason?

We all know that Vicky Kaushal has been roped in to play the lead in director Soojit Sircar’s next which is a biopic on Udham Singh. Apparently, there were speculations that Sara Ali Khan was also approached for the film but the Simmba actress turned it down. Reportedly, Khan said no to the film as she felt the role offered wasn’t giving her enough exposure. Apart from that, her dates were also clashing with her next project and hence she didn’t sign on the dotted line. Well, too bad because it would have been nice to her share screen space with Vicky, no?

Anyway, talking about her next film, currently Sara is in Delhi shooting for the same. Yes, it’s Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal 2 which co-stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead. Just a few days, the duo grabbed headlines when a video of their lip-lock from the film got leaked online and went viral. Since then everyone has been rooting for this Jodi and even we think they do make a cute couple onscreen and off it as well. Wink wink! Coincidentally, the first part of the film was also helmed by Imtiaz and it starred Sara’s father Saif Ali Khan in lead.

As for Soojit Sircar’s biopic, it is based on the real-life story of freedom fighter Udham Singh who assassinated Michael O’Dwayer. He was the former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab in British India.
