Student of the Year: Karan Johar to turn franchise into web series?

Karan Johar has proven his presence on the OTT platforms by giving us Lust Stories which streams on Netflix and is now prepping for Kiara Advani-starrer Guilty for the streaming giant. But besides this the director has good news for his fans, as he is also planning to adapt his hit franchise Student of the Year (SOTY) into a web-series.

Reportedly, the filmmaker is planning to expand his SOTY world onto the OTT platform by adapting it into a web-series. Apparently, the series will star SOTY 1 actors Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra along with SOTY 2 actors Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria and Tiger Shroff. Currently, Karan is busy with various projects including Ghost Stories, an anthology, where he is reuniting with Lust Stories directors Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee to create a similar four short films, each segment helmed by a different filmmaker.
