Sunil Grover skips The Kapil Sharma Show – here’s why

Sunil Grover is gearing up for the release of his big Eid treat, the Salman Khan-starrerBharat, where he plays an important role alongside the superstar. So far, Grover has even been a part of all important promotions of the film. But recently, when Team Bharat was at The Kapil Sharma Show, Sunil Grover was conspicuous by his absence. Given the history that he shares with the show, he was even asked about him skipping the appearance on the show hosted by Kapil Sharma.

When asked about it, Sunil Grover said, “Mera jaana kuch aisa zaruri bhi nai tha. Jis film mein Salman Khan hai, Katrina Kaif hai toh mujhe nahin lagta ki aapko promotion ke liye aur kisi element ki zarurat hai. Aur mera mann nahi kiya jaaneka toh main nahin gaya.” (It wasn’t necessary for me to go. When there’s Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the film, I don’t think you need anyone else for promotions. And I didn’t feel like going, so I didn’t go.)

He was also quizzed if he would work with Kapil Sharma again, to which he added, “Mujhe lagta hai ki kayi baar destiny hoti hai ki, aapka saath kisi project mein kisi point tak hota hai. Ishwar ne chaha to jarur kabhi na kabhi kaam karenge. Bhagya hoti hai … destiny hoti hai… kuch cheezen ho gayi, khoobsurat cheezen hai… mujhe itna recognition mila, itna pyaar mila, itna time bitaya. Woh bahut bahut khoobsurat memories hai jo mere saath rahenge hamesha.” (I think its destiny, sometimes you are meant to work with someone till some point. If God wishes we may work again someday. Its destiny, things happened, I got so much recognition, so much love, spent so much time… They were very beautiful memories that will stay with me forever.)
