Tahira Kashyap was not keen to reveal her illness

Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife Tahira Kashyap is one strong woman and her battle with cancer is an inspiration for many. Whether it was sharing her bald pictures on social media or showing off her scars, she has embraced the fighting spirit. So it comes as a surprise when she recently revealed that she wasn’t always keen on being vocal about her illness.

In a recent interview she shared that, initially she was not ready to share the news with the world, but after a few visits to the hospital, meeting other patients, talking about cancer and researching about it, made her change her mind. She further shared that, “in many cases women who despite knowing the fact that they are suffering from cancer refuse to get examined because of humiliation associated with it”. And that’s when she started sharing positive messages and creating awareness about cancer on social media.
